He was born 1815 in Caroll Co. VA, live mostly in Lee Co VA. If so, then the parents of Matthew is Aaron Roberts; however, I don't know which wife would be his mother. Aaron was married at least twice. One wife was Mary Goode. Have you tried to go to Google.com and type in hawkins co TN, go to the genealogy/info page and there is a lot you can look for like deeds, etc. I see your post is quite old, if you found them and they are Aaron Roberts, let me know, please.
