There was a series of books( Vol I thru ??) called NOTEABLE SOUTHERN FAMILES by Zella Armstrong published in 1926 .Families are traced way back from 1926.These Volumes are in MOST big Library's NATIIONWIDE !! You will find the Armstrong's in Vol.III Also tin this Vol.III are the Park-Parkes /Boone/Tunnell * MORE families are in this same Volume.A reprint of these books can be ordered thru Amazon & other book companies.for @ $ 25/30 I needed the Tunnell section because I am compiling on all the Tunnel's listed in that Tunnell section.They are the descendents of 'Lady'Ann(Howard)& Wm.Tonnelier-Tunnel They had four KNOWN sons and one of them was Reverand Stephen Tunnell Sr,.and he had 11 kids.His first son was Reverand James Tunnell Sr.(b.@ 1777)who m.Jane Ball populated Hawkins Co.Tn..Am contactng all these Tunnell's to obtain their records.--Wilma
