Surnames: Earl, Snyder Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XeB.2ACE/2726.1.4 Message Board Post: My gg-Grandfather, Lemuel Vincent Earl and his family moved to Hawkins County, Tennessee about 1854 or 1855 from Smyth County, Virginia. My great Grandfather, Alvin Carver Earl, was born in Mooresburg in 1857. His brother, Andrew Jackson Earl, was born in Mooresburg in 1856. All the other children were born in Smyth County, Virginia. Lemuel's wife was Barbara Snyder. Lemuel died in 1877 and Barbara died in 1901. I'm trying to find out if they died in Hawkins County or Claiborne County. Alvin moved to Claiborne County when he left home. Could you please look in "Families of Hawkins County 1786-1994, Vol. 1 and 2" to see if there is any information about them? Thank you very much.
