B. Spencer Adm, to sell land.State of Tennesse Hawkins County, Circuit Court, Sept Term 1846. Your petitioner of Evan B. Spencer humbly represents unto your Honor that some time during the month of Dec. last Riley Manis of said county died intestate, and at the June session of the county court your petition obtained letters of administration and administered upon the estate of the said Riley Manis dec'd. Your petitioner further shew to your Honor that in the course of said administration he has exhausted all the personally belonging to the said estate in the payment of debts due from the estate, and that there are still out standing claims to comsiderable amount due from the estate. Your petioioner further shows, that the said Riley Manis died siezed and possess of a tract or parcel of land on the North Side of Clinch mountain in said county adjoining the land of Thomas Lawson, Meredith Lawson, S. Deboard and Peter Lawson containing by estamation more or less eighty acres. The debts against the said estate can't possibly be paid off, without selling the land of the s! aid dec'd. Your petitioner is therefore advised that he has a right to apply to this honorable court. Your petitioner further prays that Clinton Manis may be appointed guardian ad letim for the minor heirs of Riley Manis dec'd.To have a decree to sell the said land and your petitioner as in duty bound will ever pray.
