I put my fingers in motion before my brain was engaged. The following was received last evening from a well versed Hawkins County Walker researcher. "James H. Walker (b. 1810, d. 1880), son of Joshua Walker and Amy Williams, did live in Greene Co., TN in 1850 before moving on to New Market, Jefferson Co., TN by 1860. It's possible that there were other Walkers in Greene Co., TN related to us, but I am not aware of any at present. DNA testing has shown that the John Walker family who lived on Meadow Creek in Greene Co., TN is not related to us or to the Wigton Walkers (as was believed for a number of years).
