A Robert A. TRENT has had headstones put up for my 3rd great grandfather Alexander BALLARD Sr. with wife Rebecca BALLARD (native Cherokee) at Creechs Chapel in Whitesburg, TN. This Robert A. Trent has had a most beautiful white Angel installed between the headstones with a bronze plack saying he is a 4th great grandson. I would be most interested in locating this gentleman and talking with him. I have searched for information on my grandfather for many years. We "assumed" he was buried at Creechs Chapel, however, we had no proof nor did we know the name of his wife. Is Rebecca the mother of all of his children or was she a 2nd wife. I do have some information that Alexander was married in prior to1805 (when he built a house in Whitesburg) to a Sarah WHITE daughter of Samuel WHITE of Powell Valley, VA. Alexander had a son born about 1798. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I would love to share information with Robert.
