It looks like Charles b: ca. 1785 may be a good candidate as a son of Moreman. Charles is a unique name in these Lawsons. Old Charles Moreman was an old settler of VA and possibly the source of old Moreman's name (pure speculation). Charles Lawson 1835 Lee Co., VA Tax List 1837 Hawkins Co., Court record Nicholas Fain debt 1840 Hawkins Co. census 1850 - have not located Charles Charles lived next to what appears to be a son named Momon (Moreman) b: ca. 1815 VA (the one who married Rachael and later moved to Pulaski Co., KY where there may be a Whitis/Wittas etc. connection). This Moreman names his oldest son Charles (b: ca. 1838 TN). Regarding Peter Lawson (who is this one below?) and (wouldn't you know) another Thomas Lawson. Peter is near our John Monk who with father Shadrack ended up in upper dist. 4 of Hawkins Co., TN/Scott Co., VA border area. Robert and William Lawson below, (guessing) may be from the Scottish Rebel Clan of Lawsons)...
