If so, there were sons and grandsons of John Monk and Nancy Rogers b: abt 1781 (of Hawkins Co., TN & Russell/Lee Co. VA) who went there as well (names of Larkin, Wyley, Dauswell). On was living with a Reuben Yates in 1860. The Willis, Monk and Lawsons lived in the same area in 1830-1840 (District 3 & 4 of Hawkins Co., in 1836). The kin (Monk, Howe, Roberts, Comer, Burk, Lawson and others from TN) were also in Scioto, Jackson and Pike Co., OH (see also Larkin, Moses and James Rodgers/Rogers in the area). In addition, our Edmond Lawson b: 1790 - 1800 d: 1832 of Hawkins Co., same area (believed son of Clement Lawson and father of Clem Jr.) received cash on October 9, 1819 in Hawkins County from Larkin Willis for serving as a witness for 5 days in the case of Rogers vs Gonce and Willis. 1840 TN, Hawkins Co. Land: Deed Book 17 page 194 - - Peter Lawson to James Rogers. (Deed of Trust) Lawson owes Benjamin Looney money and Larkin Willis, James Willis, James P. McCarty, and Edmund Bray have signed as securities on the note. Peter puts up his land as additional collateral. Witnesses are Edmund S. Goodman and Jackson Goodman. note: E. S.
