Bob, The only thing I have is that he died 1814-1818 and is buried on Copper Ridge in Cantwell Valley, Hawkins County, Tennessee. His widow, Elizabeth (SIZEMORE) STAPLETON remarried to Larkin WILLIS as his second wife (no children). William STAPLETON and Elizabeth SIZEMORE had a dau., Sally STAPLETON, that married Larkin WILLIS' son, James Larkin WILLIS. It was through Sally STAPLETON'S and James Larkin WILLIS' son, Iredell Campbell WILLIS, that I descend. Iredell C. WILLIS and Sarah (MANIS) LAWSON, widow of Civil War soldier, Palestine LAWSON, had a "natural child", my Great-Grandfather, Rufus LAWSON, Sr. at Eidson, Hawkins County, Tennessee, on 29 November, 1865. This child, Rufus, was raised by William LAWSON and his wife, Eliza FRAZIER, the dau. of Waitman FRAZIER, as their own son. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Betty Hughes" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, December 30, 2007 4:49 PM Subject: Re: [TNHAWKIN] Larkin WILLIS Bible Record > Sam: > Excellent.
