    3. I don't have mch on Thomas except what is in the DAR Index. Born 1724 died 6-21-1791 VA Mard' Jane X PS VA Appears George was born in IR There is a Thomas born NC and died in NC "Do not go where the path may lead; Go where there is no path and leave a trail"---Emerson Opportunities never come to those who wait...they are captured by those who dare to attack. -----Original Message----- From: Donal O'Kelly Sent: Sunday, December 9, 2007 11:05 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [TNHAWKIN] Rutledge and Wilson Sullivan County is close to Hawkins County, but so far in 20 years or so we have seen no documented connection between General George and his grandson William, and the Rutledge's of Hawkins County 1820 era named Thomas, Sarah (probably Wilson), Polly (probably Wilson), Emanuel, Lorenzo Dow and Lucy. We believe Thomas was our ancestor and that he was married to a Wilson girl and one of their sons was Stephen W. Rutledge born 1833................but the Wilson union is still unconfirmed. The connection you suggest would be great, but probably is not the right connection. If we can find out more about Thomas who was born in Virginia, then we may be able to verify the connection and move on back to where the family came from after they left England. Thanks for your helpful suggestions......somewhere there is a key. donkelly, Owen of Smith County, Rutledge of Hawkins County. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Betty Hughes" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, December 09, 2007 7:52 AM Subject: Re: [TNHAWKIN] Rutledge and Wilson > Two Rutledge's died in Sullivan Co., TN.-George and William. > Edward Rutlege, SC was a signer of the Dec. of Indp. > Do these connec? > Bob Hughes ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
