If I had ancestor that I thought had even gotten close to Bean Station, I would have joined under him. Bean Station is about half way between Rogersville and my chapter in the Cumberland Gap-Claiborne Co., TN. It is very interesting. I have one ancestor who served in NC, but he was actually likely in the Bean Station area. He was definitely in what would become E. Tn. He didn't stay. He went back to Halifax Co., Va. and married his sweetheart there. However, most of his kids migrated. War Patriots Buried in Hancock & Hawkins Cos. I'm thinking that you and I have discussed the various James Moores before, but just in case... It sounds like the James Moore at the site that Penny mentioned might be the one who signed a deposition in support of Edward Walker's pension application: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~edwardbwalker/pensions/edward_b_wal ker/edward_b_walker_pension_1.html This James claimed service at that time with a Captain Humphries as well, although the first name is different. The Walkers didn't live anywhere near James Moore as best as I can tell, but apparently the two met up when stationed in Wilmington and apparently remained friends.
