I would agree, the son title would probably come after the name so Peter would most likely be William's father. So, I can conclude that William Russell's father was probably either Peter or Meredith. In either case, his grandfather was likely Thomas Sr. That's great news, I can now say that whether my gggrandfather was Meredith or Peter, my ggggrandfather was Thomas! At least the circumstantial evidence points to that conclusion. In the absence of proof, I'll go with that. Thanks once again, David! Mark
