I'm interested in many of the names that are being mentioned because my direct line in Monroe CO, TN, is through a Wm Pleasant Kittrell b 1783 who died in Monroe CO, TN. He married Nancy Atkins/Aikens/Akens b 1793 NC. She is buried in Philadelphia cemetery near Loudon, TN. Their son was also a Wm. PLEASANT Kittrell b 1816 NC who married a Nancy Burton b 1824, daughter of Robert M. Burton b 1790, possibly in VA, who married a Carpenter, possibly in VA. Many of these Burton's are buried in Monroe CO, Tn, in Burton cemetery near Sweetwater. There is a French in this old line.
