Maybe he went to KY or back to TN in 1860 ? Maybe still in OH and I just missed the entry. He was in the Civil War and in Pike Co., OH in 1850 and 1870. His first wife would have died by 1860 as he remarried in 1853 and a son William Paschal Lawson was born in 1851. A daughter (named after the mother ?) was Nancy Jane aka Mary Ann b: 1847. His wife is given as Mary / "Polly" and one year older than him in 1850 (of course this may be a clue that she was more than one year older.). She appears to be: Stephens, Nancy Jane “Polly” (probably Mary Ann aka Nancy G./J.) (d/o James Stevens/Stephens of Hawkins Co., TN ? or related to Andrew Stephens ?). Clem was married again in 1853.12.22 @ OH, Pike Co.. His second wife was: McPadden / Hampton, Sarah Ann

    1. Dr. George Halleck Ingram
    2. Dianne Ingram
    3. I just want to tell a success story. Many of you have put up with my "queries" for years so I want to let you know of this breakthrough for me. I started this Ingram search in about 1995. It has been an uphill battle. The last of January this year, I located a "missing cousin". His mother and another "cousin" were active in searching for our Ingram line 1950/1960/1970. This "missing cousin" had a picture of our Dr. George Halleck Ingram! Dr. George was born 10 MAY 1817 in KY. He died 26 JAN 1894 in Effingham Co., Il. and is buried in the Freemanton Cemetery. He was married 4 times. Our line comes from his 3rd marriage to Nancy Jane Roberson. She was born 3 AUG 1838 in Indiana and died 11 JUN 1873. George and Nancy had 10 children. Married into this line of children was: Marion Denny, Joel L. Duncan, John McDill, Charlotte Bracken, Margaret Chezem, Ida Alice Byers, Charles H. Bourland, Alice M. Royer, Henry C. W. Heers, Effie (Redman)Zears and Josph L. Crumm. Marriages occur from 1888 to 1891. I still have many questions about Dr. George's father, James Ingram b: 1787 in Hawkins Co., TN. and died 1850 somewhere in KY. But I just wanted to know of my happiness and encourage you to "hang in there". I REALLY REALLY appreicate knowing of the progress of the volunteers working on Hawkins County past history. I want to thank them so much for the dedication and just having a progress report once a month is so encouraging to me. Thank you each and every one of you. Then, Clem Lawson sued Reuben Mabe in 1837 over a debt owed by/to Mary Mabe. This has got to be the same Mary. Reuben was also accused of bastardy in 1837 by Eliza (Elizabeth?) Goodman. I believe that James Willis was the prosecutor, but Reuben Mabe was acquitted. I wonder if Reuben Mabe was married to Mary in 1837, divorced, and then married Sarah and Clem married Mary? Another possibility is that Mary was the stepdaughter of Reuben Mabe.

The records that I have looked at seems to suggest that Burrell's oldest children were Martin and Washington Lawson. I don't know how Lacy Lawson fits into this or how Burrell was related to Clement Lawson. I wonder if it is possible that Lacy Lawson was the widow of Sherwood/Sherrod Lawson. That could easily get us out of the "Banks" problem. The only Clems seem to be Clem son of Edward, Clem son of Banks, and Clem living next to Banks in 1850 who seems to be the missing son of Hennis. Perhaps Clem living next to Banks in 1850 still has some descendents in Kentucky, where he moved to after 1860.

I have politely sent one of them some information on the Lawson DNA project but as yet no bites. Paschal and his son John should be in the 1880 census but have not been located as yet. As far as Clem Jr. (b: 1817 - 1821 - possible son of Edmund of Hawkins Co., TN), who associated with Paschal, I lose track of his sons in Pike Co. OH ca. 1900. Where they went from there is unknown at this time. One son William Paschal Lawson was apparently in OH penitentary in 1880 according to the census but do not know if there wouold be records or if they would be of any value. There could be descendants there as well and maybe a tie to Edmund Lawson.

Pascal and Clem moved to Ohio via Kentucky around 1840. Banks also had a son named Clem in 1850. It doesn't appear that Banks was missing any male children from 1830 or 1840. However, the securities in these cases seem to be fathers, fathers-in-law, brothers, brothers-in-law, uncles, etc--in general very close relatives. Deed records suggest that Anderson Lawson was the son Thomas Lawson Sr as Peter Lawson was. The fact that these Lawsons were indicted together does suggest a close relationship between Banks, Anderson, Peter, and Alum Lawson.
