He has had it in a zip lock bag to keep the dust off it. I would like to help him protect this treasure for his grandchildren and do not believe the zip lock bag is a good idea. I keep my old Bible wrapped in a soft white linen cloth in a drawer. I know not to have it exposed to sunlight. I would like to have a glass box made as a home for my Bible. I would appreciate any suggestion anyone would have about how to help my friend. I have not been able to contact anyone at an archive for help. Thanks in advance.

Surnames: Fields, Sizemore Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XeB.2ACE/3317 Message Board Post: I'm looking for information about the parents & siblings of Elizabeth Fields, born 1775-1794 TN, died 1825 Clay Co., KY. James Sizemore was on the 1799 tax list of Hawkins Co., TN; in Knox Co., KY by 1818; Harlan Co., KY, 1819; listed in Clay Co., KY, census in 1820; and died in 1824. A son John, born January 1822, had his biography printed in Goodspeed's History of North West Arkansas, originally published by Goodspeed Publishing Co., Chicago, 1889. Here is the first part: "John Sisemore, merchant and farmer, was born in Clay County, Kentucky, in 1822, and is a son of James and Elizabeth (Fields) Sisemore. The father was born in Kentucky (probably an error) where he spent his life engaged in farming, and died in 1824. The mother was a native of Tennessee, and survived her husband by one year. John Sisemore lived with a cousin until fifteen years of age, in Harlan County, Kentucky, after which he spent some time in Washington County, Arkansas.” Any informa! tion about this family will be appreciated.

I've run into some problems and could use any help you could give as well. I have a Wilder Family book from the southern states that has alot of info. This book was given to me by my grandfather and was kept pretty up to date until around 1970. There are several of these floating around the U.S, so you may of heard of it. On Hews Wilder. He was born in 1835 in Sneadville, TN and died in 1893 in Kentucky. His parents were Richard Drinnon who I really can't find much info on. He married Betsey and appears took on her name as did the children. I've asked family members if anyone knew anything re: why and no one knows. Betsey was born in approx 1807 in Tennesee. Hews is my great-great grandfather. He had a son named Thomas Wilson Wilder who had my grandfather Willard Harrell Wilder. Do you have any info on further back than Betsey Wilder and Richard Drinnon? I need info on pretty much everyone after them. I have sketchy info, but I'm new to this and struggling. I hope we can help one another. Would love to know where you fit into the wilder line. Lynette/Utah

    3. Below is written by Netherlands daughter and since this document Jack Goins sent proved that her dad was an attorney involved with the voting trials, it gives more credit to what she wrote: "By the Constitution of 1834 all persons of color were deprived of the franchise in Tennessee, and by an especial act of the legislator these people were given the right to vote. To prove they were not Negroes, the beautiful hands and feet of some of the race were examined, and the marked difference between them and the Negroes decided the question in their favor. The late John Netherland of Tennessee obtained the right of for them, and their deep gratitude was manifested towards him in every way as long as he lived."
