Caroline, William T. Alexander married Ruth Lacefield and had several daughters and a son Robert. Daughter Evaline first married William M. Bishop and they had two children, John and Tennessee. William was in Wilson's 21st Cavalry CSA and was killed during the war. Evaline married a second Civil War Soldier, Jacob Vanbibber, who was from AR, but joined a TX outfit before he came to TN. He was wounded at the battle of Iuka MS. In 1870 John and Tennessee Bishop are shown in the household of Jacob Vanbibber, but listed as Vanbibbers. My g/grandmother was a sister of Evaline Alexander Bishop Vanbibber. David 1850 Census, Hardin Co., TN 66-66 David Bishop 46 NC laborer, 3rd C. D.
