From the 1850 Census I have great-great grandparents, John and Lucretia (Tankersley) Price and my 3-g grandparents John and Elizabeth (Moore) Tankersley living side by side in Civil District 6. They left together for Illinois in 1862 after Shiloh. I can't get any trace back (earlier than 1840) on either family. Any help appreciated.
