I am researching the Stanfield, Copeland, Curits and Arnold names from Hardin County as well as Lauderdale Co, AL.
Below is some census information on the Copeland family. My g/g/grandmother was Elizabeth Jane Copeland from Bear Creek in Wayne County who married John A. Stanfield of the same location. They moved to Cerro Gordo and setteled near Harmony Church about 1883. About 1890 John A. Stanfield gave about a half acre for a Baptist church to be built at the north end of the Harmony Cemetery Tract. The Presbyterian Church was located at the south end of the cemetery. I am not sure just exactly how or if my g/g/grandmother was kin to those listed below.
