It appears from the Acts of the General Assembly below that it probably happened after 05 December 1827. David Chapter CCCXX An ACT, to fix, permanently, the seat of Justice in Hardin County Passed 05 december 1825 Chapter LXXV An act to amend an act entitled "An act to fix permantently the seat of justice in Hardin Co., passed 5th December 1825 December 2, 1826 Chapter CXL AN ACT change the name of the town of Hardinsville in the county of Hardin to that of the town of Savannah, and for other purposes. December 5, 1827
