Joyce, I believe the Cerro Gordo/Hardin Creek Pittses are buried at Russell's Chapel Cemetery. The old cemetery on the Pitts Farm was that of the Russell family. There are no marked graves in that Cemetery. There are a few members of this Pitts family buried at Savannah Cemetery, one at Bethlehem (Olive Hill), two at Mountain View and several at Mt Carmel. There was a large Pittts family that lived west of the Tennessee River and are buried in several Cemeteries in the west part of the county--Milledgeville, Morris Chapel, Lebanon and Shady Grove to name a few.
