I just got back from a Bingham / Clayton Reunion at the Saltillo Community Center, on May 1, and part of the reunion was a visit to the Anderson and Shady Grove Cemeteries. Amanda Tate was largely responsible for getting everything together and she spearheaded clean up at the Anderson Cemetery. She had a load of gravel delivered but it didn't get spread because of wet weather. As a matter of fact, the rain Saturday afternoon caught several of us cleaning the fungus off the markers and decorating with flowers. I found several Carroll markers from the mid 1800's that was a surprise. Along with Barham's, Clayton's, Bingham's, Etheridge's, Brook's and sevarl others. If you are interested in sharing some of the labor needed to continue this project, I feel sure that Amanda could direct you in the right direction. As a passing note, I was shocked and in awe after the reunion, from all the information I gathered and cousins I met. I knew I had a lot of relatives in Hardin County. But I have more that I realized. Henry Hanson Texas
