This is my first post to the Lewis List. I am hoping someone knows where Alfred Lewis was living before he moved to Hardin County ca 1880. His occupation suggests that he probably worked at a mill. His neighbor was a mill operator in 1880. I only know of the descendents of Alfred's son, Thomas M. Lewis who married Amanda E., a daughter of Noah Hampton and Mary Jane Mathenia Wade, in the Mountain View-Cross Roads community of Hardin Co., TN.
