Some the group might want to check out the flea market at Ripley, Mississippi on Labor Day Weekend. It's my understanding the market will be open Saturday, Sunday and Monday on that holiday. Others with an interest in history and the Civil War might want to tour Shiloh National Military Park http://www.nps.gov/shil/ which is near Savannah. The Horseshoe Bend Festival at Clifton, Tennessee is that weekend (Sept 4 & 5). Unfortunately at this time the City of Clifton's website only has info for last year's festival at http://www.cityofclifton.com/horseshoe_bend_festival.asp . For the ones wanting to go shopping, Corinth, Miss., which is around 20-25 miles from Pickwick has quiet a few nice places to shop. Also, Florence, Alabama, (traveling from Pickwick via Iuka, Miss.) would be around 50 miles away, and you can shop till you drop there. A good place to shop!
