The convention of the Western Outlaw and Lawman Association will be held in Price, Utah July 28-31, 2004. Presentations will include Butch Cassidy, Orrin Porter Rockwell, Elzy Lay, Red Lopez, and Wyatt Earp. Re-enactments will be held of the Wild Bunch holdup at Castle Gate, the death of Gunplay Maxwell in Price, and the shooting death of Hardin Countys own Jack Watson. I am very excited to have been asked to unveil a monument in the Price Cemetery dedicated to my Uncle Jacks memory. John A. Jack Watson, the son of James Lemuel and Margaret Russell Watson, was born November 05, 1843 in Hardin County. He was shot to death in Price, Utah on July 27, 1898 after a dispute over water rights in Carbon County.
