Joe, I note one difference in the list of children of J. J. Freeman. I find a Houston Freeman b. 1855 listed in the 1860 census. I have not seen him elsewhere? You and I have several kin folk in common. Eliza E. Bain, sister to your John K. Bain, married Sterling Fowler. The Fowlers were my g/g/grandparents. Benjamin Alexander Bain married Tennie Polk who's mother was Mary L. "Pollymac" Cagle. Tice Bain married Erie Turner, my grandmother's sister. There are others. I have not been able to learn or prove the name of William P. Freeman's wife. Also, who were his parents? David - Sorry for barging in like this, but the FOWLERS??! My maiden name is Fowler; can't locate my family past my grandparents, ALBERT and MEDA BELLE MC CLENDON FOWLER, who lived in Bells, Crockett County, when my father, HAROLD JAMES was born.... Are these names familiar in your FOWLER line?
