I don't know if this will help anyone, but I have a connection to the Higginbotham's from around Hardin/Decatur Co., TN through my great aunt, Mary (Mollie) Williamson Creasy. Her husband's father was, Bird S. Creasy, his grandfather was, Vernon Bird Creasy, who was married to Mary Kelly/Kelley. Mary Kelley was the daughter of Ephraim Kelley and a Jane Higginbotham. Jane was born around 1795 in Elberta, Georgia. She died sometime around 1813--1820 in Decatur Co.,TN. Her father was William H. Higginbotham and her mother was listed as Dorothy Dudley (Dolly) Sandridge. Dorothy died after 1830 in Perry, Hardin Co., TN. William and Dorothy had 10 children including Jane. Jane's father, William H. Higginbotham was born in 1761 in Amherst CO., VA. He died in 1842-1850 in Shannonville, Hardin Co., TN, and is buried in the Kelley Family Cemetery near Saltillo in Hardin Co. William's father is listed as Benjamin Higginbotham, born in 1729 in Amherst Co., VA. And he died July 25,179! 1 in Elbert Co., GA. He was married to an Elizabeth Graves on Feb. 21, 1751 in Amherst Co., VA. They have 12 children listed. I found all this in searching for information on Jane Higginbotham on the LDS site and some of it may not be accurate. Anyway I hope this may help someone. There is a Charles Higginbotham farther up the tree who may be Millicent's father. Charlotte McClain Christensen
