Thanks David. However I`m wondering who that Daniel SHIPMAN could be. James SHIPMAN married to Martha P ROSS were the parents of John McCullough SHIPMAN. Could it be that James SHIPMAN`s full name was Daniel James SHIPMAN. Also where was Boyd`s Landing located? I understand that Walnut Grove was flooded out when they build the Dam and moved some place else. My Aunt who died about two years ago told me that the old SHIPMAN Homestead was located on Bruton Branch Road just across the road from what used to be an old Motel owned by a Mister Worley I think. . She said the Pond was still there but the old homestead had been torn down. Do you know who owns that land now a days? Also just below there is a Fisher Hollow. Do you know how it got its name? My Grandmother was a Fisher and she married one of John McCullough SHIPMAN`s sons named Homer SHIPMAN. Do you know of any land deed information for Daniel SHIPMAN or Elizabeth SHIPMAN. Daniel SHIPMAN the father of James SHIPMAN died about 1835 and his wife Elizabeth SHIPMAN was head of household on the 1840 Hardin Co TN Census. She did not appear on the 1850 Hardin Co TN Census. Boyd's Landing was combined with Walnut Grove in 1887.
