Hi Deborah and all; I am related to the Dossie Hopper who married Ora Sloan. Till now, all I had was her name. I would like to visit with you more about them. Dossie's parents were John W. Hopper and Ollie Hanna. I have a copy of his Obituary. His sister, Emily Hopper, married my gr, gr, gr uncle, Louis Washington Williamson whom my father was named. They had one daughter, Delitha Williamson, she married Silas Allen Nathaniel Depriest around 1925 in Hardin/McNairy Co. This was told to me by Delitha Williamson Depriest's son, who is still living. I am connected to the Hopper family also in that my gr, gr grandmother, was Talisa Hopper, born in 1847 in Hardin Co., TN, who married George W. Williamson. She was the daughter of Eli Sullivan Hopper and Avis Ann-last name unknown. Talisa Hopper and George W. Williamson were the parents of Louis Washington Williamson. Mary Malecia Garner, born Mar 12, 1874 in McNairy Co., TN, married John Bell Williamson on Oct 15, 1891 in Hardin Co., TN. John Bell Williamson was the brother of my gr, gr grandfather, George W. Williamson, who married Talisa Hopper. Mary Malecia and John Williamson had three daughters, Minnie Myrtle, married Odell Evens Ollie B. married Chester Clarence Cook and Dosia Burley married Grandford L. Scott. Mary Malecia Garner's father was, from what I have been able to find, Isaac Franklin "Frank" Garner and her mother was Margaret Ash. Mary and John Bell Williamson are both buried in Liberty Cemetery in Hardin CO. I would like to find out if these Garner's and mine are related.
