    3. Ruff, My uncle Tom Fulton, Jr.,age 85. just died. He ws WWII vet...30 missions in B-17 and a reactor operator in all three Plants in O.R. He went to Marietta Church and had a small farm on Gallaher Ferry Road off Hickory Creek. His people owned Clark Park in Oak Ridge called Freels Bend about 1750, 1000 acres, and ancestor Hendrix (thought to br a Tory) had 4000 acres including Solway in 1800. Ancestor Scott of Morgan Co. with 4000 acres and four farms (1790) married into Freels family. Will have 300-500 Freels attending Reunion at Frozen Head Park near Petros Prison in two weeks. If you are a Freels..I have pdf of Five Generations of Freels by Linda Hallman also of the Scott family. Two Hall cabins, and Freels cabins still stand. One at Freels Bend and one at Bull Run Steam Plant and one in Morgan County. These families founded Morgan County circa 1806 and that's where the Scott family married in.... This Scott was brother to or first cousin to General winfred Scott. I belong to the Scott Clan and their reunion in Wartburg each year has about 30 attending. However the web address seems to be blank and the owner has died...go to Dixie Rose for latest contact.----- If you have been out of contact...Hardin Valley now has new middle and new high school and over 1000 new homes built in the last two years. Property in Solway and Hardin Valley now at $50,000 per acre with no view of River. About 25 new businesses in strip malls now exist at exit with Pellissippi Parkway where Pellissippi State now stands. Intermarriages with the families above means that by 1850 These families (and the Hickeys, etc,.) owned approx. one half of Knox County which is 508 square miles. Living proof is cousin Thelma Hickey, age 94,,,, still living on her g- grandfather's land in Karns. She is also a Scott and related to everyone of these families. Your roots run Deep.
