John Henry is the son of Hiram Haynes b. 1820's. I have John Henry as dying in 1880, and then this child was born in 1884. So I know there is no way he is the father but benj. haynes was always told he was. We had a great aunt say years ago that the father was a shelby man that was a doctor, but that was all that was ever said and Frances Haynes moved to Madison County at some point I think. I wonder if you might have the wrong Hiram Haynes. The Hiram born 1820 and residing in Hardin Co, TN, whose wife was Sarah Lamb, had 11 children, none of whom were named John Henry. Henry James Haynes is the right name, not John Henry, he was born about 1847, son of Hiram Haynes and Sarah Lamb. Hiram and Sarah are buried in the Hollands Creek Cemetery. Henry James married Frances Qualls, children were Andrew, Mary, James, Isaac, and Laura, Henry James died about 1878. I did not know about Benjamin.
