Cordy and Mary Parish had the following 3 daughters: Nancy Parish/Parrish b. 1835 m.James Jefferson Peerey 1857 children Cordy, James, Alice Josephine Leannah Parish/Parrish b. 1837 m. Thomas Johnson 1855 Amanda Parish/Parrish b. 1839 m. James B. Frazier 1858 children Leannah, Mary, Rasmus, Indiana, William, Robert, Thomas. Many of these are buried at Morris Chapel cemetery. Cordy was the brother of Winnie Parrish Hughes b. 12 Aug 1840. She married William C. Hughes before 1828 in Hardin Co. They are on the 1830 census. Cordy and Winnie plus another son of unknown name are the children of Burrell and Rebecca Wilson Parrish. We think they came down from KY because Winnie was born there but Cordy was born in NC. Burrell and Rebecca were both born in NC abt 1778 and 1779 respectively. They lived in Dist 12 of Hardin Co. I expect they would be buried at Morris Chapel. Winnie and many of her children as well as William C. are buried there. BTW, Winnie was murdered by Confederate marauders 3 Oct 1863.
