Hi; In Goodspeed's History of Hardin Co., TN It says that in 1830,John White and Elisha Bryant, started a Ferry and business at Cerro Gordo. Cerro Gordo was called White's Landing until 1840 when it's name was changed. I believe that Cerro Gordo was/is close to Saltillo. Hope this helps. Char
