Henry, I have never known a John White that operated the ferry there. That doesn't mean it isn't so, just before my time I guess. Give me a time frame and I will ask around. We have not had a ferry there for about 10 years now. It never was efficient after we got bridges across the river here in Hardin County, but was handy sometimes. David I have found a little bit more information and the name was David Allen Shaw. John Edward Hudson born in 1960. It was his great grandfather on his mother's side, David Allen Shaw.
