Helen, Shannons Landing is located on the north side of the Tennessee River a mile or two upstream from Clifton Tennessee which is located on the south side of said river. I believe this to be near the location of Shannonsville which was in that part of Hardin County that was ceded to Perry Co. in 1823, and is now located in Decatur which was cut from Perry in 1845. Some of the Shannons settled at Point Pleasant and were the first settlers to build a house at Saltillo in 1825. Shannon Landing or Shannonsville was located about 10 miles east of Saltillo on or near TN highway 114. Are you related to Betty Kelly who maried John Cagle ca 1890's and lived at Cerro Gordo?
