Hi: I am searching for ANY additional info on Hardy MATHEWS/MATTHEWS (enumerated in 12th district in 1860 census). Hardy was a farmer and itinerant minister in the Methodist Episcopal church who moved to Hardin Co. from Waterloo, AL, some time after 1850 and left some time after the 1860 Census. Also searching for any info on his son, Isaac MATHEWS/MATTHEWS (b. ca. 1854), who disappears after the 1860 census. Also looking for info on parents/siblings of Fetny Jane TACKER who was married (ca. 1853 in Hardin Co.) to John N. MATHEWS/MATTHEWS. I am aware of the Jane TACKER who was living in the household of John & Sarah (TACKER) HITCHCOCK in 1850 but can't verify a connection. BTW: Fetny died June 15 1863 in or near Smithland, Livingston Co., KY. I will, of course, be happy to share any info I have on the MATHEWS/MATTHEWS line. Thanx in advance, Gary Matthews
