D, 2nd Tenn Mounted Infantry Regiment, USA, Sept 24, 1863 in Savannah, TN. He was mustered out in Nashville Feb 1, 1865. His brother George W. Abrams traveled from Hardin Co. to Laurens Co., SC where his parents were from and joined the 3rd Battalion South Carolina Infantry, CSA on Dec 1, 1861. He was killed Sept 20, 1863 at Chickamauga. My other g-grandfather from Hardin Co., William Theadore Falls was in Co. I, 2nd Tenn Mounted Infantry Regiment, USA. His first wife Naomi Melissa Bain was shot and killed on Nov 11, 1864 by a guerilla during the war. He remarried 4 years later to Nancy Susannah Andrews.
