Dear Listers - This is a subject only related to genealogy, but one that I think all searchers will sympathize with. Some time ago, my husband and I had decided we would not take up space in a cemetery (tree hugger ideals) and would be cremated. However, in the past several years, since I became a serious amateur genealogist, I have realized the value of those cemetery locations and stones to descendants. I still don't care about what happens to my remains, but I want a monument or permanent marker of some kind that documents that I lived. I would like it to be included in a cemetery list so I can be "found," but still don't want to take up a whole grave space. Has anyone else dealt with this problem? How did you solve it? As far as I know, the cemeteries in my town have no wall of markers or mausoleum for ashes. Advice, anyone?
