    3. To David Russell, David, I am sending this message again and to the list this time as well. My first try bounced. Sorry I am a little slow in getting back. I am sending some Russell census information for Hardin Co., TN. You probably have it already, but it was a good exercise for me to get a little bit familiar with the Russell family. I checked the Wayne Co. census and found James R. Russell there in 1820 and 1830. Hiram Russell was there in 1830 and 1840. It appears that James joined the Russell clan in Hardin Co. in 1840. Your family appears to be those Russells in the 2nd Civil district in 1840. There were two other Russells living elsewhere in 1840. William in the 4th C. D., Savannah, and William H. in the 11th C. D., which was on the west side of the Tennessee River. I doubt these two Williams being closely related to the Russells in the 2nd C. D. You may know more about that than I? The first Russell Land owners in Hardin Co. were Robert who obtained 300 Acres in 1822, Alexander who obtained 3 tracts of 25, 8 and 2 acres, 10 April 1825, and James Russell who obtained 30 acres on 25 December 1825. Do you know how all these Russells fit together?
