    3. As President of the Walworth County Historical Society (WI) and a Life Member of Hardin County, $20.00 per year for membership is not excessive. The Webster House Museum is the home of The Historical Society and our membership for a single is $15.00 and $20.00 for a family. We also have Contributing membership @ $25.00; Supporting/$35.00 and a Patron is $50.00. There are even members in our Society who contribute $100.00 or more. We only publish a NEWSLETTER monthly. Even though our Museum is the home of Joseph Philbrick Webster who wrote "Lorena" and "In the Sweet Bye and Bye" we do not have a Quarterly. The quality of Hardin County's publication is first class. I look forward to receiving each issue - even when my family surnames are not so listed. If only I lived within the Hardin County area and could give the endless hours I devote here back to the roots of my ancestors. In this day of many, many obligations its up to each of us to determine what is important. Membership in Hardin County only perserves the legacy our ancestors left for us to share. Without out their being in this place and time we most certainly won't be here today no matter where we reside. It is up to each individual to determine the importance of membership and realize the tremendous endeavors that are being done on a "volunteer" basis to further tell the story of Hardin County. It is truly awesome that we can connect through the internet/e-mail with no additional cost i.e. long distance telephone calls. Keep up the good work. Respectfully, Charlotte L. Gates My ancestors were: LAUDERDALE, BLANKENSHIP, NORWOOD, SWEENEY, FERGUSON to name a few!8 ---------- > From: Jerry W.
