Rootsweb does block most of the spam that is directed to these genealogy lists. Trust me on that! You see, as the listowner I receive a copy of the spam from Rootsweb so I can see what they've blocked. They however can't catch them all. Spammers change servers so it's an never ending battle. This one spam message last night on TNHARDIN-L is the only one that has gotten through onto this list. I consider us lucky! If you want to further protect yourself, you can always use the mail filtering ability of you mail reader. You might want to be careful about what words you filter out however. You see in my case, my SIXT or SIX surname is sometimes spelled SEX! I hope everyone is enjoying a safe Labor Day weekend. Jerry W.
