Appeared in the Independent Appeal Wed., Feb. 3, 1999 Norman Baker, age 61, died on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at his home of cancer. He was a truck driver for McNairy County Farmers Co-Op, a member of Selmer First Baptist Church, 20 years Tennessee Army National Guard, Selmer Jaycees, was employed at brown Shoe Company for approx. 20 years as a Maintenance Engineer, later an engineer at Kolpak, and plant manager at Jakel in Ramer. Services took place at 2:00 p.m. on Wed., Jan. 27, 1999, at Shackelford Chapel in Selmer. Burial was held at Hatchie Cemetery in Hornsby. Officiating the service was Minister Max Walker. Pallbearers were Jackie Suggs, George Donaldson, Jack Cheshier, Steve King, Jerry Mitchell, and Jimmy Dickey. Honorary bearers were Milburn Walker, Joe Hurt, and Kenneth Sweat. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his mother, Essie King Baker, and father, Woodrow Baker. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Teague Baker, two daughters, Tammy Graham and Elana Baker bot of Selmer, one son, Craig Baker of Selmer, two sisters, Olene Ervin and Myra Lowe bother of Selmer, and three grandchildren, Charlie, Anna, and John Norman. >>>>>>>>>>>> Jerry L.
