Mr. Gillespie was an instrument mechanic at Tennessee Valley Authority, a veteran of the U. S. Navy, a private pilot and amateur radio operator, member of I.B.E.W Union and an elder of Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to his mother of Olive Branch, Miss, survivors include his wife, Kathy Alsobrooks Gillespie, sons, Grant, Erin and Jason Gillespie of Cumberland City, a brother, George Gillespie of Fla., a sister Juanice Gillespie of Lexington, Ky., and two grandchildren.
