Catherine, I am not related to the Nesbitts but I am interested in the family because William J. Nesbitt was a member of Company G, First Confederate Cavalry Regiment. William was born in Wayne Co., TN on 1 Sept. 1837. He was living at Olive Hill in Hardin Co., in 1909 when he applied for a Confederate pension. The company was organized in the fall of 1861 in Hardin County. I would like to contact anyone who had knowledge of "G" Co. Over the years, Nesbitts have lived in the eastern part of Hardin Co., in the area near Olive Hill. Members of that family remain in that area today.
