Subject: [ALLAUDER-L] Re: ALLAUDER-D Digest V98 #144 Date: Wed, 30 Dec 1998 13:43:38 EST From: Tlind44@aol.com To: ALLAUDER-L@rootsweb.com You state that John L. And Rebecca Lindsey Had 3 children. In the 1830 census of Wayne Co. Tn. Showes Them with 2 white males 15 to 20 and 1 white female 20 to 30. Sylvester And Phillip were listed as head of their own households. I belive that my gggrandfather Anderson Lindsay ey born 1800 to 1810 May have been one of the 2 males liveing with them in 1830. John and Rebecca must have had 1 or 2 children that have not been identified. Does anyone have any idea the other 2 people were. Thomas H. Lindsay ___________________ Tom, I have Sylvester, Philip, and William Orin Lindsey as three children of John L. & Rebecca (Anderson) Lindsey. There may be others that nobody has found. William Orin was born about 1811, and his childrens' births range from 1832-1844. He died prior to 1850 Census, and his wife Mary is in the 1850 Census, Wayne Co., TN, 10th dist., fam 1002/1014. Anderson Lindsey, your gggrandfather, may be named after his mothers maiden name? What do you have as to where he was in location to our other Lindsey lines throught the 1830, 1840 and 1850 Census, and his family lines afterward. My line from Philip and Franky (Sharp) went to Lindsey Branch at Gravely Springs, in Lauderdale Co., AL over by Wright. My mother, Shirley Jean (Wood), a ggggranddaughter, died Dec 13, 1998, so I'm slow on replies to everyone. Debbie Cossey Wasserburger (GenMaster) for more Lindsey names check http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Prairie/7578 which needs to be updated.
