Vicki and Hardin Rooters, The Fork is the community north of Savannah roughly located between the Tennessee River on the west and Horse Creek on the east, situated along Cravens Landing Road which runs from Savannah to Cravens Landing on the Tennessee River. Cravens Landing, being about a mile or so upstream from Cerro Gordo, was used as a river crossing point up until about the turn of the century.
