Appeared in the Independent Appeal Wednesday, March 10, 1999 MICHAEL ARRON VANCE, age 2, died on Friday, Mar. 5, 1999, at his home of smoke inhalation. Services took place at 3pm on Sun. Mar. 7, 1999, at Shackelford Chapel in Adamsville. Burial was held at Adamsville Cem. in Adamsville. Officiating the services were Ministers Larry Rich and john Chase. Michael Arron Vance is survived by his parents, Michael and Janice Brasher Vance of Adamsville, two sister, Sarah Bailey of Jacks Creek and Amber Vance of Palm Bay, Fla., one brother, Christopher Cody Bailey of Jacks Creek, grandparents, Logan and Wanda Brasher of Reagan, Barbara Brantley of Lexington, Josephine Vance and Lynnwood Vance both of Davenport, Fla., and great-grandparents, Grapie Brasher of Reagan, James Turman Brantley of Regan and Anna Richardson of Danville, Ky. Vance Memorial Fund A memorial fund has been established by the Adamsville Police Department in memory of Michael Arron Vance. The fund will be used to help defray family expenses incurred with the tragedy. Mar. 5, 1999, at Jackson General Hospital of congestive heart failure. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church. She was born and reared in Waterloo, Ala., daughter of the late John and Cynthia White. She attended schools in Waterloo, and in 1918, was married to John Wade Grimes of Waterloo, they made their home in Waterloo, until 1930, when they moved to Arkansas, and then to Savannah and in 1941, they moved to Henderson. They farmed all their life. Mr. Grimes died in 1977. Services took place at 3pm on Sat., March 6, 1999, at Casey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was held at Harmony Cem. Officiating the services was Pastor Jerry Holland and Rev Noel Daniels. Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by three sons, Melvin, Granville and Denis Grimes, and two daughter, Elzie Grimes and Rose Crowe. She is survived by two sons, Emil Grimes of Bethel Springs and Howard Grimes of Reagan, two daughter, Mary m Carroll of Memphis and Lorean Thompson of Jackson, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two grgrgrandchildren. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> FAYE WHITE NEAL, age 64, died on Sat. Mar. 6, 1999, at Magnolia Regional Health Center of cancer. She was a member of Lorraine Baptist Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She served as a mobile home escort for 44 years and was known by many on the CB as �Trailor Girl.� She loved her family and friends. Services took place at 1pm on Mon. Mar. 8, 1999, at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was held at Lorraine Baptist Church Cem. Officiating the service were Rev. Taft Nethery, Jim Johnson, and Charlie Browning. Two daughter, Dianne Baldwin and Husband Phil of Corinth and Martha Durbin and husband Tim of Michie, two grandchildren, Regina Stephens and husband Terry of Corinth and Jay Durbin and friend Jamie Mullins of Michie, two great-grandchildren, Stephanie Settlemires and Courtney Settlemires, one brother, Bobby White and wife Reba Faye of Corinth. Miss., two sister, Jane Phelps and husband L. Wayne of Guntown, Miss., and Brenda Mills, Tupelo , Miss. Mr. Sanders was a retired carpenter and attended Union Grove Methodist Church. Services took place at 1pm on Thurs. Mar. 4, 1999, at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Selmer. Burial was held at Union Grove Cem. In Selmer. Officiating the services was ministers Dr. Paul Mullikin, Barry Henson, and Robert Jetton. Pallbearers were Bill Sanders, Samuel W. Sanders. Jerry Don Sanders, Mark Pickens, and Jeff Cupples. Mr. Sanders was a lifelong friend of Mrs. Alma Homes and family. He leaves behind a host of relatives and fiends.
