    3. Appeared in the Independent Appeal Wednesday, March 3, 1999 MAJORIE HILL GRESHAM, age 75, died Sun. Feb. 21, 1999, at Summit Hospital in Hermitage, of heart failure. She was retired from the U. S. Postal service at the Memphis Regional Office. Services took place at 1 pm on Thurs., Fen. 25, 1999, at Maggie Jones United Methodist Church. Burial was held at Maggie Jones Cemetery in Finger. Officiating the services was Ministers Michael Gibson and Tony Moss. Mrs. Gresham was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gresham, her parents, Robert Glenn Hill and Hazel Gladys Scott Hill, and two brothers, Kenneth Glenn Hill and John Joseph Hill. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Donis Fought of Hermitage, and Sheila Nyjordet of Pensacola, Fla., four sisters, Patricia Lahorra, Janet Shelton, Glenna Respass, Rebecca Farley, four brothers Leonard Hill, William Hill, Richard Hill, and James Hill and two grandchildren, Robert and Richard Fought. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. JEWEL MAUDINE JOHNSON, age 68, died Tues., Feb. 23, 1999, at Methodist Healthcare McNairy, of cancer. She was a retired employee of General Electric and a member of the Selmer Pentecostal Church. Services took place at 11 am on Thurs., Feb. 23, 1999, at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Selmer, Burial was held at Beauty Hill Cemetery in Bethel Springs. Officiating the services was Minister Thomas Davis. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Johnson, her parents, Rufus M. Johnson and Ethel Burrow Johnson, and one grandson. He was a member of Kingsway Christian Church, American Apparel Manufacturers Association, and served as an Executive Apparel Research Director. Mr. Neaves, the husband of Hian Neaves, also leaves two daughters Jennifer Elaine Neaves and Melissa Madolyn Neaves, both of Germantown. Burial was held at Good Hope Cemetery near Dyer. Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Verlean M. Harris of Trenton, four sons, Charles, S, David L., and Roy D. Harris all of Trenton, and Herschell H. A 32nd degree Mason, Selmer Masonic Lodge No. 743, a member of Gaum Scottish Rite Bodies Agana in Guam, Al_Chymia Shrine Temple in Memphis, Pickwick Shrine Club in Selmer, Fleet Reserve Association and the Veterans Foreign Wars, a Navy Veteran serving in WWII and the Korean War, retiring after 20 years. Survivors include a brother, Kendrick of Eufala, Okla., three sisters, Lucille Pratt of Arlington, and Catherine Rhinberg and Vadeen Goss both of Eufala. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thurs. At Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte. Services will be at 10 am Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
