He was married to Rebecca Satterfield, 1793 SC, died in 1860 in Craighead AR. They were probably married in Maury Co., TN where most of their children were born. Noah and family moved to Hardin Co., TN in the mid 1820s and settled on a farm located on the waters of Indian Creek between Cross Roads and Mountain View. Noah is buried on the old family farm. See Map. The following material was prepared by Roberta Duke McCasland and her siblings in 1979 and is being printed here by their permission. David Cagle, 1998 WADE FAMILY NOAH WADE, was the father of William. M. Wade. Our records on Noah are not complete. The following Wade's mentioned are descendants of Noah Wade through Wm. M. Wade, Noah's son, which is 8 generations. We only have whirl-pool information & data on Noah. These are some comments handed down by those mentioned & retained by us; SARAH E. WADE (DUKE), grand-daughter of Wm. Wade, said "her great-grandmother, Noah Wade's wife, was a Miss Satterfield before marrying Noah Wade." This is recorded in Mormon Library in Utah by a Mrs. Hughes, information given her by Sarah E. Wade Duke. HOWARD WADE, grand-son of William Alexander (Gandy) Wade, great-grandson of Wm. & Jane Wade, has records from his grandfather that "Noah Wade is father of Gandy's father Wm." Some of Wm's brothers & sisters were Hampton, William & Jasper, girls Lavina (who married a Layden) Caroline & Ellen. WILLIE BOROUGHS CHANNELL, granddaughter of Wm. Wade & daughter of Rebecca Wade Boroughs remembers her uncle Jasper (a brother to Wm. Wade) coming to his demise in Jonesboro Arkansas where he had lived - also his nephew Polk McDonald (Pony) Wade (son of Noah Hampton Wade) visited uncle Jasper while he lived in Jonesboro. Rumors were "he owned much land & property in Jonesboro." (There could be some Wade history lurking around in Jonesboro, Arkansas). NOAH HAMPTON WADE, son of Wm. Wade, left the information "that Noah Wade, his grandfather, died and is buried in Hardin Co. TN near Burfield Ridge Road going into Brooks bottom" the grave is built up with limestone rock. Some portion in that small area is considered "the old Wade place." "Family graveyards" were their burial grounds in those early days. Should you be interested in finding the burial place of Noah & his old home site, Ben Duke, Bill Love, Leonard Love or Mel McCasland could probably direct you there. We have some data on a Noah Wade from a Mrs. Melba Hutchinson, 2021 Yosemite Dr. Lodi California 95240, she is a descendant of David Hampton Wade, son of Noah Wade. Her records show: Noah Wade born 1780-1790 died between 1840- 1850 in Hardin Co. buried on home place in Hardin Co. TN. This Noah Wade married Rebecca Twyne born 1793 died 1860 in Craighead, Arkansas with her son Noah J. Wade. Children listed to Noah & Rebecca were: H. B. WADE, born 1813 in Maury Co.
