I went back last month and found the military records for my 2nd(?) Great Grandfather, C.C. Harlan. In the pension records I found mention of a first marriage for C. C. to Mary Christian. There were a couple of records stating that Mary had died, one was from J.W. Morrow and R.M Morrow testifying to the death of Mary Harlan, it says that her remains were brought to their house for burial in the old family burying ground, and was buried there.
