    1. [TNHARDIN-L] Re: TNHARDIN-D Digest V99 #43
    2. I am need of knowing when my grandfather, James M. Hitchcock may have moved to Hardin Cty., from Lauderdale Cty., Ala. It seems two of his children were born in Ala.,the other 4 were born in Hardin Cty. He md. in Lauderdale in 1877. His children were born between 1889 and 1899. Children being, Emsley b. 1886, Ala. Roxie b. 1889,Ala., Opal b.1891, Allen b. 1894, Elvin b. 1896, John b. 1899. His wife was Texana Futrell. I have a copy of a Land Purchase in 1883 by a James Hitchcock in St. Clair Cty., Ala. But have no proof that this is my James and yet in my mind I believe it could be. That being so, he must have moved to Hardin Cty. somewhere around 1890. Any help on these persons would be appreciated. Census records, etc. Thanks, Trecia (Hitchcock) Griffin
